There is rust around the base of the rear windows. The hood and trunk lids both have quite extensive rust on them. The front probably has a hole through the hood on the leading edge.
There's a lot of rust below the side molding and the door handle on one side, but it all appears to be surface rust. It doesn't appear to be too deep.
I really couldn't open the hood. The guy who is giving me the car (more on that later) wasn't around and I didn't want to look more suspicious than I already did. The hood didn't appear to be latched, but I didn't want to yank on it until I really got it home.
The rear shock towers are not in great shape. They've been repaired, but I'm going to have to redo that work. I'll take it down to bear metal and refabricate what I need to in order to fix them.
The gas tank looked like it was riding a little low. That's okay. It is getting replaced with a fuel cell pretty early in this project.
There are no windshield wipers in the car right now. I take that back. They're there. They just happen to be in the front and back seat instead of on the cowl.
The car has 5 good wheels and 0 good tires. Though they all seem to be holding air. They might be good for a quick test drive.
All in all I can honestly say that I'm getting my money's worth for the car. :D
